James graduated from the University of Sydney in 2007 with Honours in Arts and Law.
Upon admission to the New South Wales roll of solicitors in 2008 James began practising
as a Commercial Litigation solicitor. He works with Wal Abramowicz and assists with
the conduct of a variety of litigation matters touching on various industries including
printing, petroleum and property.
James has developed an expertise in media law, where he has considerable experience
on both sides of the fence: as a lawyer on one hand and as a journalist and broadcaster
on the other. He regularly briefs radio broadcasters on the law relating to contempt
of court, defamation, hate speech, and copyright infringement.
